Today is the first day of the summer reading program at the Bellevue Public Library...and it is the first day of my travels as Flat Tammy!!  Look out world, here I come!!

Here I am with my bags packed ready for my travels!  I can't wait to get going.

My first stop will be to the state where I grew up.  Never heard me talk about my home state?  Well, here are a few clues...

1. The department store, JC Penney, was started in my state (and not far from my hometown)
2. The state flower is an Indian Paintbrush
3. It was the 44th state to come into the United States of America
4. The state motto is, "Equality"
5. It is the 10th largest state, but it has the smallest population in the country.

Dear Children of Bellevue,

I have always wanted to travel to see great places around the country and around the world.  Now is my perfect opportunity!  I've been flattened by a large falling bookcase (but otherwise I am fine)!  Now that I'm flat I can be tucked into an envelope and travel!

Follow me this summer as I travel to various destinations around the world.  I will post clues about where I am (see if you can guess!) and then I will reveal where I am with pictures taken on my trip!  So check the blog every weekday to take a virtual trip with me around the world!  I begin my "around the world" trip  Tuesday, May 31st!
